Objectives are how we will measure the success of the marketing plan once it is implemented

Strategies address how objectives are to be achieved

Tactics are the specific actions, details, and activities that must occur in order for the strategy to succeed and the objective to be met

Objective 1: Increase of 25% attendance at the screening clinic by December 28, 2024.

Strategy 1: Do this by attending local events such as festivals and events. Get the word out on social media, passing out flyers and even the radio.

Tactic 1: Set up a booth at local events such as football, basketball, and baseball games. Attend festivals and any community event at the university. Taking the time to interact with people helps build trust and shows the community that you are dedicated to help their oral health.

Tactic 2: Having a respected community member is another good way to increase attendance. Someone that is well respected will get the attention of the public

Objective 2: Achieve a 50% follow-up rate of patients returning for recommended care after their initial screening by December 28, 2024.

Strategy 2: Schedule the next appointment before the patient leaves the screening appointment. You can also send reminder text and/or emails.

Tactic 1: After the dental student is finished with the screening appointment, schedule the patient right there. Even if they don’t know their schedule it would be best to get one from the books and then if it is not going to work then the patient can call. This is better than just relying on the patient to do everything. This also reinforces the importance of following up with oral care.

Tactic 2: Send follow up text messages and/or emails to keep reminding the patient about their appt.

Objective 3: Boost social media engagement by 40% by December 28, 2024.

Strategy 3: Use educational videos, interactive polls, and success stories on social media, and engage with local news and local influencers.

Tactic 1: Post videos on Facebook or YouTube that educate on proper brushing and flossing techniques and invite the viewers to leave comments. The more interaction you can get with people the better. This interaction can build trust and lower patient anxiety. Lots of people have dental anxiety.

Tactic 2: Have an interaction aspect with the videos. This is a good way for people to demonstrate their understanding and also be able to leave comments or give feedback. I know I like to have somewhere to ask questions when I am learning something new
