First Social Media Platform Utilized
Platform 1: Facebook
Facebook has been chosen as a primary platform because is has a larger variety of users, particularly with local families and older adults who would most likely benefit from the services. Facebook also offers targeted advertising options, allowing the clinic to reach a certain demographic group within the community who may be unaware of the affordable dental care options.
To support our objectives on Facebook, we will post event announcements, share patient testimonials, and provide regular oral health tips such as proper brushing and flossing to emphasize the importance of regular screening and preventive health. The posts would appear in the early evening, between 5-7 PM, when many people are likely online and available to interact with the material. The target audience on Facebook are the local families, students, and uninsured people seeking prevention services, so the focus will be creating relatable informative posts that highlight the benefits of the clinic.

Second Social Media Platform Utilized
Platform 2: Instagram
Instagram was chosen because of its highly visible platform that is well suited to sharing images and videos, making it a perfect place to capture the friendly and approachable environment of our clinic. With its younger demographic, Instagram is a great platform to reach young adults and college students who may resonate with visual storytelling about health.
To engage with the audience on Instagram, it is important to share “behind the scenes” introductions and photos of past events and patients (with permission). This will cut down on the anxiety some people may have with going to the dentist. Posting educational material, like tips for maintaining oral health between screenings. The ideal time for the Instagram posts are in mid-afternoon around 2-3 PM, when users are often on breaks and are checking social media. This allows a broader audience to be reached with informative, engaging posts that encourage sharing the posts and interaction.
