Public Relations Plan

Two Media Exposure Ideas
1. Reach out to local news
2. Host a free community workshop

Option #1: Reach out to the local news to do a story about the clinic.  There are several ways to do this. I can reach out to local newspapers, radio stations, and television stations to share the clinic’s mission and impact it can have on the community and its surrounding area. Give informative information that supports community health and provides access to free dental screenings. The word free would gain the attention of people in need and hopefully encourage them to come in. I believe the effectiveness of this attempt would be great. These ideas that were just mentioned are a great way to reach a broad local audience in a short time. It can bring more patients in and can offer a lot of community support. It also displays how important oral health is, which makes the mission statement appealing.

Option #2: Host a Free Community Workshop.  Organize a community Dental Health Day that brings people in and gives them the opportunity to learn about the importance of oral hygiene, and how to prevent disease. Also discuss the pros of seeing a dentist on a regular basis. The clinic can provide demonstrations, have a question/answer session, and this could likely promote free dental screening where they could come and get some radiographs. Effectiveness: This provides a hands-on approach to oral health where patients are also made aware of the clinic. Inviting the local news or radio to the event is also a great way to increase exposure to the community and surrounding area.
